"Jaggu ki Lalten" is a comedy-drama musical film that explores the life of a scrap dealer cum businessman, Hari lal bhoot. A man with shrewd business tactics yet elated with generous and compassionate nature. This unique quality has gained him excellent fame in the vicinity. He's indeed astood businessman that takes complete pride in cherishing his morals and ethics more than anything else. This certainly sets him a class apart, in the fast-moving world of distrust and defamatory. Hari Lal's life is an open declaration of the fact that leading a life with generosity and compassion is certainly the best way to live. The film explores the life of a middle-class man who made his fortune creating successful deals as a scrap dealer. The sacrifices he made in his early age gave him the strength and will to fight and bring the difference in the lives of the people surrounding him. On one of his occasional business trips he had a coincidental encounter with Jaggu, a middle-class man deft with life's pain and suffering. Perplexed by his story, Hari Lal vows to help Jaggu bring his life back on track. It's interesting to see how Hari Lal's dedication made him strive across all odds and fulfill his commitment in giving Jaggu the life he deserves. Although it's a fictitious story, it very well highlights the quality of Humanhood, one that's hard to find in this fast-moving world of status and stature.

Jaggu ki Lalten Story: ‘Jaggu ki Lalten’ is about a scrap dealer who, during one of his trips, meets Jaggu, a tea seller. A lantern at the shop that has been passed on for generations catches the fascination of the scrap dealer, who wants to acquire it at any cost.

Jaggu ki Lalten Review: ‘Jaggu ki Lalten’ will remind you of those one-hour telefilms that Doordarshan often aired during the 80s and 90s. The entire story used to be summed up in one hour. Having said that, stretching this story into a film was just not required. The film, after showing initial sparks, completely fizzles out. The film has a wafer-thin plot and a screenplay that’s predictable. The drama fails to entice viewers and, in the end, collapses.

This drama is about Harilal, a scrap dealer, who has made a fortune by the sheer dint of his hard work. Despite amassing huge wealth in his business, he remains a man of ethics. During one of his trips, an old lantern at a tea shop catches his fancy. The tea stall owner is Jaggu, and upon inquiry, informs the scrap dealer that the lantern has been passed on to him for generations and remains of sentimental value to him. Harilal even increases his initial offer from Rs 25,000 to Rs 7.5 lakh in order to obtain the lantern.

It’s a film that could have been so much better, but average performances by the cast and a dull screenplay play spoilsport. Raghuvir Yadav remains the only redeeming quality of the film. Neeraj Gupta as Harilal sometimes goes overboard and remains inconsistent in his performance. Vipin Kapoor has managed to pick a good plot for his film, but his direction leaves a lot to be desired. Aakriti Bharti, in the role of Jaggu’s wife, does provide an element of believability with her nagging attitude.

The comedy in ‘Jaggu ki Lalten’ is unintentional and, fortunately, it brings a smile to your face. It’s primarily the sequences featuring Raghuvir Yadav that manage to sustain your interest and keep you engaged. This drama is not a bad film per se – It has a good story hook, but a below-par performance by most of the cast and a lackluster direction kills any prospect.
